This policy explains what personal information Lina Cleaning Services Ltd collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We've tried to keep it in plain English.

Who we are

Lina Cleaning Services Ltd is a cleaning company operating in London and the surrounding area. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the "data controller" for the information described below.

What we collect

We only ask for what we need to quote for and carry out your clean.

• Enquiry and booking details — your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you want, your preferred date and anything you tell us in the message box.
• Job applications — if you apply to work with us: your name, contact details, the role you want, your experience and your CV.
• Service records — notes about your property that help us clean it properly, such as access arrangements, parking or pets.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not ask for special category data such as health information.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote — because you have asked us to, and because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to people who contact us.
• To carry out and invoice for a clean you have booked — to perform our contract with you.
• To consider your job application — to take steps at your request before entering an employment contract.
• To keep accounting and tax records — to meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell or rent your information to anyone.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't become bookings — up to 12 months, in case you come back to us.
• Customer and invoicing records — six years after your last clean, which is the period HMRC requires for tax records.
• Unsuccessful job applications — up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Who else sees it

Your details stay with the people who need them: the cleaner or team assigned to your job, and whoever handles our invoicing. We also use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf — for example our website form provider, our email provider and our accounting software. They may only use your data to provide that service to us.

We will share information with others only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and the website

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve the font files. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your data, where we have no ongoing reason to keep it;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
• ask us to transfer it to another provider; and
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we relied on consent.

Keeping your data safe

We limit access to your details to the people who need them, use reputable providers with their own security measures, and this website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
